How do I start the process of setting up a website?

Why can I not see the new changes you have made to my website?

Pressing the F5 key on your keyboard will refresh your browser and bring up the recent changes. There can be a further delay for users accessing the Internet pages from within the NHSnet. This is a technical issue within the NHSnet and something unfortunately we cannot control. For more details about this problem click here.

How do I register my domain name?

Internet-GP will register this on your behalf at cost price. The name remains your property. If at anytime you wish to move the name there is no charge.

I have an old website that is with another company what can I do?

Many GP practices registered for free websites but now find they are being charged much higher prices than we offer. Please contact us and we can arrange for the domain name and website to be moved.

I don't have any experience with websites can you help?

Yes. That is what we do. We can project manage the whole process and do the work. No extra cost.

How much do you charge?

How many websites have you designed?

Can we edit the website from the practice?

Yes. You need to have a copy of Microsoft Frontpage™ or Expression Web™ or for simple text editing Microsoft Word or similar program.

How do we submit changes to you for our website?

What is an URL? How do I send you our URL?

Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a compact string of characters used to represent a resource available on the Internet.
An example of a URL is: http://www.bbc.co.uk
You can normally find this in the address bar of your browser.

How many pages can we have on the website?

There is no limit. The average GP website has about 25 pages.

Can we have our own pictures on the website?

Yes. Some of the core design elements can not be altered but images can be substituted.
You can have as many images as you want.

Can we have a secure prescription ordering service on the website?

Yes, but there is an additional charge of £80+VAT for this service as it takes extra time to set up and maintain and purchase a security certificate. To see how this works click here.

Can we have links to other websites?

Yes. We provide a generic list of about 50 known useful website links appropriate to a General Practice website. You can also select links you prefer. You may have as many as you want.
